I had my ipod on shuffle today, and this joint came on, and I remembered just how AMAZING it was. I first heard All Of The Above in 2002, I think. I had a computer class in high school, in which we never really did anything... so my buddies and I would basically just browse some hip hop forums, or chat in the corner of the class. One day, my friend Trevor played me a song by this guy named J-Live. I was impressed. Later that week, when I was at our local Wherehouse for the 9th time that month, I found a used copy of All Of The Above for like $7 or something. Whatever it was, it was cheap enough for me to take a chance on him, so I picked it up. It turned out to be the best $7 I'd spent in a long time. And this song always stuck out to me as one of the doper joints...
In other news, this is the first time I'd looked at the cover in years... And I'm just now realizing that its an homage to Blue Train.
