The Five Points crew is back at it again. Ricky and Walt are in another plane all by themselves. The psychedelic/R&B range these guys keep taking us is time and time again epic. This one is featured on DGB'sThe Birth of Grey tape which is a tribute to DJ Screw using older and newer works. Here's to getting a new iNDEED record before the year is out.
A couple years back these two were inching close to releasing a joint project together when the recordings were lost. Now we get word that the two have linked back up to try their hands at it again. Their new project is due out this summer and here goes the first single off of it....and yes it is dope as fuck.
Two days in a row of german producer Heartbeatz putting in work. Well yesterday I posted something that I slept on. This time around we ratified that issue. Today Heartbeatz linked back up with Dallas spitter Yellaman AKA Mr. Ride Thru Tha D. A last year these dudes put out an awesome EP that features a handful of those workings on this. I've spun the record once today...and must say it is pretty fucking awesome. Perfect summer ridin' music. get it.
This one got by me. Which is a bit of a surprise because I'm on record as saying German based producer Heartbeatz is one of the best up and coming beatsmiths out. This time around he links up with Austin Tx spitter Sertified to drop this pretty damn awesome record. It was released last month and but I only just heard it today.....if anyone else was caught sleeping be sure to check it out.
Bama's KD drops yet another monster of an album. The consistency that this dude displays is something to marvel at. Definitely one of the better releases of the year.
Every now and again my anticipation for an album will get so big that I just refuse to listen to any singles from it. This happened to be one of those times. Houston spitter DeLorean put out a sneak peak of the title track a few months back....and it was such a dope track I immediately went into fasting mode and refused to play any other single he put out. Today is a good day though folks...his Grace tape has finally dropped. It comes equipped with bangers from producers like DJ Burn One, Big K.R.I.T., Ty Real, among a handful of others. Be sure to check this shit out.
One of the fastest rising artiest on the kid peezy's radar....yella stays putting in work. Maaaaan this is the joint right now. Smoke & Ride will be out soon enough. I'd also like to add them over seas kids is really putting in work on these country shit lately. Props.
What good is running a blog if I can't use it for a little shameless self promotion? Anyways here goes my first instrumental/beat tape project that I've ever released. It's a collection of shit that was created pretty much from the beginning of the year till now. Enjoy it, share it, do what you do. Hope you enjoy it. Props to my primo joe for the artwork.
Weather getting warmer. Its time for some vibed out Country Rap Tunes. Le$, Cheavy Woods, & Scotty ATL all link up with DJ Burn One to drop this smooth cut. Le$ E36 will be out later this month (28th). Eyes peeled.
It has dawned on me that I have yet to post anything from ST 2 Lettaz....which is an outright travesty. He put out The G...The Growth & Development way back in March. I purchased it and for whatever moronic reason forgot to give it a spin. Well, the kid fucked up. The album is pretty fucking amazing. So in attempt to make up for lost time here goes a few of the video's from the project. Be sure to check out the album. Here goes his Bandcamp which has a few free projects on it.
The album that i've personally, been anticipating more than any other has finally arrived. Atlanta vets Scotty & DJ Burn One have once again linked up to drop some choice Country Rap Tunes. Fuck your forecast, Summer officially has arrived. SLAB music.
The 5 Points day continues. DJ Burn One, Walt Live, Ricky Fontaine, and The Professor put in a lot of work last year and dropped one of the best albums of the year with iNDEEDface. Here goes the second video off of the project. If you haven't checked it out do so now.
Here goes the second video from Scotty and DJ Burn Ones F.A.I.T.H. album. Man oh man, this one is some smooth ass shit. And to think it's not even summer yet. This one is actually co produced by Cardo, which is the second time (that I know of) that Burn One and him have linked up with the same artist. The other was Mookie Jones. This shit goes.
***UPDATED: Here goes the soundcloud version also the downloadable version.
Here goes Grace, an in studio performance from DeLorean. This is a track produced by none other than DJ Burn One....and GOOD GOD what a beat. Burn One and his 5 Points team never seem to stop working and putting out some masterful shit. This is smooth as fuck. Look for DeLorean's mixtape coming out soon.
It is my opinion that no producer is currently doing it as well as DJ Burn One and his 5 Points team. BUT, he's had the reputation of working with some less than stellar emcees. I've argued against that idea for some time now, but will not do so with this project. AC is decent, but he's not going to blow you away. So why post it? I believe this is some of Burn Ones finest laid back production to date...I won't go as far as saying that it's a damn shame that he wasted the soundscapes with AC...because there are quite a few dope cuts on here that AC compliments perfectly. Either way I won't front, the production is what I'm backing here. You should all give it a spin and see what you think.
So, as I'm sure you can tell I've been slipping lately. I won't play too much catch up...I'll just keep it moving and recent. Here's a Scotty ATL joint that will be featured on his and Burn One's F.A.I.T.H. project. It's been in heavy rotation at my pad for some time so figured I'd share it for those that have missed it.
Some International County Rap Tunes for you and yours. Dave Luxe (from Brussels) serves up the soundscapes for a handful of Bama emcees. Some pretty dope shit on this one.
One of my favorite up and coming southern artist (ever since I heard THIS came out) just dropped a new FreEp featuring production from Q-Red. We're filing this under the Country Rap Tunes section...which as far as I'm concerned is always an indication of some dope shit.
