Tonedeff - Glutton EP

Tonedeff is reinventing the album release. As we have evolved into an ADD nation, Tone has evolved with us. With his latest release, he brings us the Glutton EP. The first of 4 stylistically different EPs that together become his sophomore album, Polymer. Each EP consists of 5 songs, and will be available on bandcamp at the low low price of "name your own price." So you can grab it for free, you can contribute whatever you feel, or (and this is where it gets fun), you can pre-order the full Polymer CD/DVD now, giving you access to the first 3 digital EPs as they are released, and the exclusive 4th EP only available in the physical format to those who pre-order. And Tone will only be pressing as many copies as are pre-ordered, so if you want a piece of QN5 history, get your pre-order in now!

I dont get it. I mean, this shit is up on like 837 blogs, but none of them have download links? So I was like, "Ah, maybe it's only for purchase." But I couldn't even find anywhere to buy it. I had to take to google to hunt down a download link. Shit's weird. Anyways, this is music. Grab it if you want it. Statik on the beats. Jared on the singings. Smooth, jazzy, pop kinda vibe to it. Word.

Chance The Rapper - Acid Rain (prod by Jake One)

I've been on the fence with Chance the Rapper, but his last two singles (juice) and now this have pretty much sold me. This time around he's working with the Seattle heavy hitter Jake One.

Joey Purp - I Do(nt) Care (prod by Thelonious Martin)

Chicago's Joey Purp wrecks havoc on this Thelonious Martin beat. For the better part of a minute he tears into this in a sort of Madlib and Doom fashion.

Intuition & Equalibrum - Ain't the Blues (Video)

Intuition & Equalibrum continue to unleash some incredible music. This one is no exception. Smooth shit here.

Lianne La Havas - Elusive (Video) / Gone (Video)

Just shut up and hit play. This shit is amazing.

EDIT: Oh shit there's more...

Co$$ - She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not (EP)

Few day's late on this...but the heavily underrated Co$$ dropped this tape a couple days ago. It's a smooth love themed tape that deserves some attention. Check it out.

Woody's Produce - Outkast Remixed (Mixtape)

Woody hit us with a brand new remix project just in time for President's Day. And it's Outkast. I'm off work today, and I'll be vibing to this one all damn day.

Forte Bowie - Vice Haus (EP)

Forte Bowie is back with a brand new set of music for your earholes. You may recognize the name from our last installment of Chillin Like A Villain. But if you aren't up on him yet, get up on him now. He'll be hitting the road with Trinidad James later in the year, so make sure you listen to this now so all of your friends will think you were cool first, after Forte Bowie blows up. Word.

2.7.5. Chris Travis - Side Effects EP (BRK)

The Black Raider Klan movement continues to grow. It's a trip watching these youngin's develop their sound and get better with each new release. This time around it's Memphis' own Chris Travis turn. This is a pretty damn awesome release. If you're looking for a jump off point to delve into the BRK movement, this would be a great project to start with.

Ghostface Killa & Adrian Younge - The Rise of the Ghostface Killah (single)

I've been telling everyone that was willing to listen about the potential of this album & it looks like that hype train just may be just. Adrian Younge is point blank, a musical enigma. If you haven't had the time to delve into the mans work do yourself a favor and go get your hands on Venice Dawn and Something About April. Anyways it was announced a few months back that Younge had linked up with Ghostface Killah and would release 12 Reasons to Die. Here goes the first single, which just so happens to be incredible. This project will be momentous.
