Charles Bradley & Menahan Street Band – Stay Away (Nirvana Cover)
SPIN is putting out a compilation Tribute album to Nirvana, which is to feature various musicians covering the hits. After reading over the artist that will handle this (and googling 3/4 of the groups i've never heard of) I was most ecstatic about the Charles Bradley and the Menahan Street Band's cover of "Stay Away". Surprisingly Bradley and Co. didn't just opt for a straight forward Soul Cover. They really went for the psych/garage sound that Bo Diddley was known for. The outcome is pretty damn AWESOME.
