First and foremost, I'd like to turn in my late pass. I just "discovered" Shabazz Palaces recently, and apparently theyve just released their third album this past June. Now, I guess the first thing you should know about Shabazz Palaces is that they are pretty secretive about who they are and what they do. All we really know is that the front man is Seattle emcee, Palaceer Lazaro, aka Ishmael "Butterfly" Butler of Digable Planets (now 42 years old). They have no Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Bandcamp, whatever other social media outlet you can think of. Their music lives in the shadows, and they like it that way... Anyways, this is the final track from their latest album, Black Up, which you can purchase on iTunes now. Oh, and the full title for this song is, "Swerve... The Reaping Of All That Is Worthwhile (Noir Not Withstanding)"
