Ladi6 - Shine On (Video)
As of just recently I've started to check for Ladi6. The New Zealand soulstress is gearing up to put out her Automatic album on the 16th. If this second single shows any indication on what we can expect....then damn. This is the jam right now.

iNDEED - Liquid Love (Single)
The Five Points crew is back at it again. Ricky and Walt are in another plane all by themselves. The psychedelic/R&B range these guys keep taking us is time and time again epic. This one is featured on DGB's The Birth of Grey tape which is a tribute to DJ Screw using older and newer works. Here's to getting a new iNDEED record before the year is out.
Doobie Brothaz (Jackie Chain & ST 2 Lettaz) – John Legend (Prod by Block Beattaz)
A couple years back these two were inching close to releasing a joint project together when the recordings were lost. Now we get word that the two have linked back up to try their hands at it again. Their new project is due out this summer and here goes the first single off of it....and yes it is dope as fuck.
Yellaman X Heartbeatz - Smoke and Ride LP
Two days in a row of german producer Heartbeatz putting in work. Well yesterday I posted something that I slept on. This time around we ratified that issue. Today Heartbeatz linked back up with Dallas spitter Yellaman AKA Mr. Ride Thru Tha D. A last year these dudes put out an awesome EP that features a handful of those workings on this. I've spun the record once today...and must say it is pretty fucking awesome. Perfect summer ridin' music. get it.

Sertified & Heartbeatz - FilthyFuckingHumans (Album)
This one got by me. Which is a bit of a surprise because I'm on record as saying German based producer Heartbeatz is one of the best up and coming beatsmiths out. This time around he links up with Austin Tx spitter Sertified to drop this pretty damn awesome record. It was released last month and but I only just heard it today.....if anyone else was caught sleeping be sure to check it out.

Go Dreamer - The OuttaHere Project (Album)
I don't really know much of anything about this ATL spitter. I came across the album and was pleasantly surprised by what I heard. I'm sure most of you will probably be drawn in by the cast listing that is; K.R.I.T., Scotty ATL, Trinidad Jame$, A.dD+, Grip Playaz, Fort Bowie and more. But trust this a cool sounding record. Do yourselves the favor and check it out.

Grimm - There Will Be Blood (Album)
The good homie dropped his LONG awaited debut album a few weeks back and your's truly dropped the ball on posting it here. Be sure to check it out and purchase if you're feeling so inclined.
Willie the Kid & Alchemist - Masterpiece Theatre (EP)
Holy fuck! La's little brother has long ago stepped out his shadow and anyone thinking different needs only to toss this EP in rotation. Point blank Willie has been hard at work for the better part of 3 year and still seems to be slept on, which really is a travesty. But working heads int he industry have always seen the kids potential and work ethic and it's paid off with some really dope collaborations. This time around LA's Alchemist paints the soundscape with some stellar work that he seems to pump out at a 1998 beats by the pound rate. Masterpiece Theater is just that...be sure to check this shit out.

Kannon Presents - Best Of June 2013
Well folks, another month has passed, and half the year is officially over. Summer is upon us, and it's hot as shit. So it's time to break out those blenders, and make some margaritas, lay out by the pool, and throw on the Best of June 2013 mix, brought to you by Kan Diggy. This month was a fantastic month for hip hop. Not only that, but a great month for albums/mitapes. Usually I find a handful of dope singles, but struggle to find any quality albums. This month there was no short in great projects. El-P and Killer Mike released their Run The Jewels project for free, which is easily top 5 of the year so far. Freddie Gibbs released a new album now that he's free from the CTE chains. Drake announced a release date for his upcoming Nothing Was The Same album, and dropped 4 new songs in the process. Dead Poet got me obsessed with a youtube video. Asher Roth rapped on a bunch of people's beats better than they did. We got new singles from Gunplay, Jadakiss, Danny Brown and Vic Mensa. Chase N. Cache and Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire both finally impressed me. I discovered Russ, Vince Staples and Marion Write. We saw new projects from C Plus, Weerd Science, Action Bronson & DJ Mustard. And let's not forget about the June 25th Release Date Trifecta, which may have seen sales going Kanye West, J. Cole, Mac Miller, but dare I say quality went the exact opposite. Anyways, Enjoy another month of free music. If you like the songs, pick up the full projects. Until next time...

This last week has been a god damn good one for music. Everything that Ive checked out over the last week or so (except Yeezus) has been dope. Sacramento spitter C Plus is back with some new dope shit. Lot of production from up and coming duo Hippie Sabotage, also Ski Beatz, Chase Moore, Sledgren and more. Loyalty Over Cash And Luxury.

Vince Staples - Stolen Youth (Mixtape / Prod. by Larry Fisherman)
Ive been seeing the name Vince Staples around a little bit lately, and seeing that Q, Soul and Mac Miller fux with him, I decided to give his free 10 track mixtape a quick listen. That was 2 listens ago. Surprisingly dope tape from the kid. Mac Miller as Larry Fisherman on production. And I really dont think there is a bad track in the 10. Even the intro and outro are dope. DeLorean - Grace (mixtape)
Every now and again my anticipation for an album will get so big that I just refuse to listen to any singles from it. This happened to be one of those times. Houston spitter DeLorean put out a sneak peak of the title track a few months back....and it was such a dope track I immediately went into fasting mode and refused to play any other single he put out. Today is a good day though folks...his Grace tape has finally dropped. It comes equipped with bangers from producers like DJ Burn One, Big K.R.I.T., Ty Real, among a handful of others. Be sure to check this shit out.

Kannon Presents... The Best Of May 2013
Another month, Another collection of music. This was actually a good month for music. Lots of dope shit. Also, a ton of music came out this month that I still haven't gotten around to listening to yet, so I imagine next month will be dope as well haha. This month we heard the first single from Slaughterhouse's upcoming album. AZ returned to music. I turned in my late pass for that DJ Nu-Mark album, and some british dude named Bonobo. Raashan Ahmad proved he can still make dope music without Crown City Rockers. theWHOevers continue to make ridiculously good soul-infused hip hop. We got the first official single from the El-P/Killer Mike collective know as Run The Jewels. Black Hippy made the most listenable version of UOENO. I discovered M.I, Murph Watkins, and New Zealand DJ/producer P-Money. Oh, and Thaione Davis is still alive. Enjoy the free shit, I'll see yall again next month.

Travi$ Scott - Owl Pharoah (Mixtape)
New tape from the G.O.O.D. Music/Grand Hustle artist, fresh off his XXL 2013 Freshmen feature. This may sound like a terribly strange mashup, but this tape reminds me of what it would sound like if Future and Kid Cudi made an album together... I'm still not 100% sold on Travi$ Scott yet (or anyone with a $ in their name that isn't Curren$y), but this tape is definitely worth checking at least once.

Murph Watkins - Loose Women N Booze (Mixtape)
I was on the fence about Murph when I first heard him. And while this album won't end up in my Top 20 at the end of the year, it's tough to listen to this and not recognize the potential. Most of the tracks are laid back, which I love. So if youre looking for something new to kick back and vibe to, definitely give this a few spins. I hope to see more of Murph Watkins in the future.
Bonobo ft. Erykah Badu - Heaven For The Sinner
I stumbled across this artist the other day, and gave this song a listen strictly because of the Badu feature. And then I listened to another song. And then another, and then I bought his album. Bonobo is a British musician/producer, who's latest album, The North Borders, contains some of the smoothest instrumentation and production I've heard in a while. And I found myself vibing out just as much to the instrumental tracks as I was to the features. Great album. I highly suggest you check it out if you like music at all.
Le$ - E36 (Mixtape)
Le$ drops his second tape in under 2 months. I will be honest here and say I didn't care too much for his last one, but this time around it's all original beats and this shit is dope as fuck. You'd be wise to jump right in and download this, smooth as fuck SLAB music project.
Jackie Chain - Bruce Lean Chronicles 2 (Mixtape)
Bama spitter Jackie Chan comes through with his second installment of Bruce Lean Chronicles and it's a monster that features, Yelawolf, Rittz, Big K.R.I.T., Juicy J, ST 2 Lettaz, Lil Wyte, Diamond, Mata & more and production from DJ Burn One, Block Beattaz and more.

What good is running a blog if I can't use it for a little shameless self promotion? Anyways here goes my first instrumental/beat tape project that I've ever released. Bryant Dope & Hannibal King - New New York (Mixtape)
First of all, let me say that if you have been keeping up with my monthly mixes, you'll recognize the dope, jazzy joint "QB" from my Feb. mix. Secondly, if you aren't familiar with Hannibal King, he may be one of my favorite producers ever right now. I've toyed with the idea of recording a mixtape using only his beats, myself. This dude is dope with is. Thirdly, Bryant Dope, while I know nothing about him, is really dope too. So you really can't go wrong with this tape. So listen to it now.
