Kannon Presents - The Best Of March 2013

I was gonna try to throw this together after work tomorrow, but my plans for tonight fell through. Everyone I know is sick. So here I am, bringing you the 20 illest joints from March 2013. Some dope new shit in this mix too. This month, we saw C Plus reunite with Ski Beatz for a 5 track free EP. Justin Timberlake released one of the dopest collections of music in recent years. Schoolboy Q, John Legend, Big K.R.I.T. and AEli all dropped the first single for their upcoming respective albums. ANTHM linked up with Blu for a stupid dope EP. Drake put on his serious face. Substantial linked back up with Marcus D for an amazing remix to one of his "Home Is Where The Art Is" tracks. I was late on the newest Magic Heart Genies album that dropped last december. Jay-Z hopped on a Kendrick Lamar remix, and Kendrick outshined the shit out of him. TiRon & Ayomari dropped more hot fire. And I discovered Kyle, Roosh Williams, City Lights and The Bullitts. Not a bad month.

Oh, and if you didn't know; If you don't want to download the full zip file with all 20 songs, you can listen to the whole collection on audiomack below, and right-click-save-link-as to any of the songs you want, and save each individual joint. Now you know.

ScHoolboy Q & TiRon – Love Me Not (Prod. Chuck Inglish)

I'm still playing catch up over here due to busy week. But here goes a Collaboration between two Left Coast spitters; Schoolboy Q & TiRon over the simple/thump heavy sound-scape from Chuck Inglish. Pretty fucking fresh. A joint project of this trio would be pretty fucking dope, if you ask me.

Schoolboy Q - NigHtmare on Figg St. (video)

TDE rep, Schoolboy Q isn't allowing the dust to settle as he unleashes yet another video. This time for one of my favorite songs off his Habits & Contradiction album.

Schoolboy Q - Hands on the Wheel Ft A$AP Rocky (Video)

The TDE spitter Schoolboy Q keeps the train rolling and unleashes some visuals to just one of the MANY awesome songs off of his Habits & Contradiction. If you haven't checked that out yet, your slacking. Get on that shit.

Schoolboy Q ft. Dom Kennedy & Curren$y - Grooveline Pt. 1 (Cookin' Soul Remix)

If you havent heard Q's new album, you need to get on that immediately. Definitely some dope shit on there. In other news, Cookin Soul just recently grabbed this smooth laid back joint by Q, Dom and Spitta, and simply added some drums. It's a small touch up, but it turns this into one of my favorite songs on the album...

Sample Wars: Kendrick Lamar vs. Neako

Upon listening to the new Kendrick Lamar album (which is amazing, by the way), I quickly picked "The Spiteful Chant" as one of my favorites. While listening, I kinda thought the beat sounded familiar, but I didnt make any connection until I was listening to some older joints today, and came across the Neako song from a few months ago... And suddenly I realized why the beat sounded so familiar...

IN THIS CORNER... Kendrick Lamar ft. Schoolboy Q - The Spiteful Chant

AND IN THIS CORNER... Neako ft. Juicy J - Flossin'

Schoolboy Q - Options

Top Dawg Ent. representative, Schoolboy Q, drops off a new joint. Produced by THC. Who knows what album this song is from, if its from one at all. But I wouldnt complain about a new Schoolboy Q album. Just saying...
