The creative minds behind the worlds dopest blog (This One) are proud to present to you a new series... SAMPLE WARS. As you (should) know, the cornerstone of Hip Hop is sampling. Without sampling, there would literally be no Jay-Z, Tupac, Nas, Biggie, [whoever else you think is the GOAT].
Now, the premise of Sample Wars is a simple one... We present you with two (or more) songs, in which they have all flipped the same sample. And your job (if you choose to accept is) is to........ Pick which one you like better. Tough, right? I know. We're asking a lot of you.
For round one, We're gonna go back to early 2009, with Curren$y's debut album, This Aint No Mixtape. The album was released online through Amalgam Digital (cause Wayne forgot what dope sounds like), and Elevator Muzik was an early favorite from the album... At least for me. Zero research has been done to back that statement as it pertains to anyone else.
The second song is from New York native, K. Sparks, who released a three-mixtape-series last year entitled The Trilogy. This track was from Chapter 2: The Demonstration.. In this corner... We have Kickin Rhymes...
