Throwback(s) Of The Day: Philly's Most (Wanted) Edition

Before Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo put on their first successful group, the Clipse, these were the guys the Neptunes backed. Back in 2001, they had a moderately successful hit with, "Please Dont Mind," but their second single, "Cross The Border," got them a little more notice. Unfortunately, neither song got them enough notice to not be promptly dropped from every deal they had. And I know you see the chains. Yes, their names were Mr. Man and Boo-Bonic (or just Mr. and Boo). AMAZING, I know. And while their story was not exactly one of success, I definitely went out and copped their first album, Get Down Or Lay Down. They had a follow up album a couple years later, but they shortened their name down to just "Philly's Most," and that was enough to lose me. Well, actually, them losing the Neptunes was probably what lost me. But still... Any way you cut it, these beats are crazy dope. And as much fun as posting throwbacks from 1994 can be, sometimes you gotta just enjoy the money making music from the early 2000's... So kick back with me, and enjoy some Philly's Most Wanted...
