Maker - Money Fight EP (Instrumental)

The big homie Maker drops an out of pocket Instrumental EP that shows him flexing his skill set over dusty chops and banging 808's in the trap vein.

Qwazaar & Batsauce - Bat Meets Blaine (Remix Album)

Way back in 2011, Qwazaar & Batsauce released "Bat Meets Blain" on Galapagos4. It was a stellar effort, one that I put on my top albums list of the year. Now the very talented folks over at Galapagos4 have put together a FREE album of remixes. All production is handled by the very able hands of producers you may have heard of; Maker, Willie Evans Jr, Silence, Jackson Jones, Wes Restless, & More.

Sample Flippage: Qwel & Maker meets Little Ben & The Cheers

I got this awesome LP in the mail the other day. Numero Group Presents: Eccentric Soul: The Nickel & Penny Labels and a tune by Little Ben & The Cheers caught my attention. It's been sampled by Maker and spat upon by Qwel of Galapagos4 fame. Check it out.

Maker & Joey Beats - Falcon by Design (Instrumental)

These are two of my favorite slept on producers out. Both have been around for a long time and had project after project of excellent production that has easily stood the test of time. Maker you may have heard of with his work with Qwel and Galapagos4 and Adeem and GLUE. Joey Beats is probably most known for the album he put out aside Mr. Chubby Vegan himself, Sage Francis. Don't let that throw you off...The production on that album was stellar. His also put out a couple instrumental projects that were fucking awesome....(those will be blogged about soon enough, as i'm working on my top 20 instrumental albums now). Anyways, these two recently paired up to do a spit project with each handling production on five songs. It's an awesome mess of layered boom bap meets progressive sampling. Check out these two free songs, then if you feel so inclined grab the album. It's well worth it.
