Hanz - The Distraction Tape (Instrumental)
I get a lot of emails, mainly from my days back at the other more notable blogs I helped out at, and honestly most of the drops that get sent my way are usually straight up garbage. This blog me and the homies put together is still extremely new and we hope to continue picking up steam (which I believe we are doing), but I think I speak for all of us, that we refuse to post shit that we are not feeling. So back to the topic, I get angry heads crying about not getting love...hey guys, I just post what I enjoy. Keep it moving. ANYWAYS this album that Hanz, an Augusta, GA beatsmith dropped off the other day in my inbox, knocked me on my ass. If you follow my postings here, you'll know I'm a huge instrumental hip hop head/snob. The Distraction EP is that shit. Straight up. It's dark & grimm without teetering the scales towards unpolished. Normally when an beat tape comes with the tag grimey & dark it comes with the lofi saturated sound that at most times can come off uninspired. This isn't the vibe I'm catching off this project. Hanz has found quite the niche between those dirty yet soulful arrangements. Do yourselves the favor and grab this 40 plus minute mix brought to you by the dudes at Greedmonthpark
